I'm 19 years old and work as a bike courier to fund my skate trips and to soon purchase my leathers . I have skated the texas long haul from austin to houston twice on a topmount board. The greatest feeling in the world is pushing 60mph on a sick hill.
I really don't know where I'd be without downhill skateboarding. There's no better feeling than barreling down a hectic run within arms length of your buddies, uncertain if you will all make it to the bottom... It's usually cooler when everyone makes it though.
Downhill skateboarding has easily consumed my life in the past three years. I have met incredible people and traveled to amazing places because of this sport. Racing with great friends and even complete strangers will always be my favorite aspect of this scene. No matter how stressful and intense a heat gets, we're all still homies after its all said and done. Lonestar, PBR, fuck yeah Texas.
